What's New for 2022

There’s a handful of updates and enhancements to GE Health Choice benefits, resources, and wellbeing programs for next year. When you're ready to take action, click “Enroll Now” from the 2022 Annual Enrollment portal anytime from 10/11 – 10/29.

Good News for Medical, Dental & Vision Costs

Feedback collected from our salaried employees confirmed how important affordable benefits are for you and your family. In 2021, there were no increases to medical plan contributions. We will continue that approach for 2022 for full-time salaried employees, with no increases to payroll contributions. Also in 2022:

  • Medical Options 1 and 2 will have reduced annual deductibles and lower out-of-pocket maximums. You will also see a lower HRA credit, compared to 2021.
  • There will be no changes to dental and vision plan designs and contributions.
  • There will be no changes to Tobacco User contributions.
  • Working Person contribution amounts will not increase.
  • The HSA contribution limit will increase to $3,650 (1-Person coverage) or $7,300 (2-Persons or 3-or-More Persons coverage).

Prescription Drug Benefit Updates

We’ve made the following changes to our Prescription Drug Benefits offered through OptumRx, for 2022:

  • Select drugs used to treat alcohol addiction will be covered at 100% and not subject to the annual deductible for Medical Options 1 & 2 (annual deductible applies for Medical Option 3).
  • Manufacturer coupons/copay cards will be accepted at mail order for ~150 specialty medications.
  • There will be an increase to Specialty Rx copay:
  • Retail will change from $120 to $150 for up to a 30-day supply.
  • Mail order will change from $360 to $450 for a 90-day supply.

Expanded Telemedicine

We know the convenience, safety, availability and affordability of virtual health care is important to you and your family. That’s why we are making new telemedicine vendors available (like Teladoc) through our medical plan administrators’ partner(s). You will have access to more telemedicine providers at the network discounted rate per visit, subject to annual deductibles and coinsurance (for 2022, the average cost per visit is $49). Given this new expanded offering, Cleveland Clinic Express Care Online will no longer be offered after December 31, 2021.

New Voluntary Benefits

We are expanding our voluntary benefits lineup to include MetLife Pet Insurance to help with the health and wellness costs associated with your furry family members, and LifeBalance, a customized discount platform designed to help you and your family save money.
