Looking Ahead: HRA Transition Period

2022 will be a transition year for those employees enrolled in HRAs available through GE Health Choice Options 1 and 2.

All HRAs are expected to be closed starting January 1, 2023.* Find more information here.

If you are currently enrolled in Options 1 or 2, which have included a company credited HRA, it may be helpful to think about your health plan enrollment decisions for 2022 based on how you use your HRA today, along with your current balance, if applicable. Review the chart below as a first step. Don't know your balance? Visit wageworks.com/ge.

Don’t forget about the new enrollment decision support tool, SmartSelect, and Health Coach from GE. Both tools can help you assess your choices with your needs and preferences in mind.

* Although the anticipated HRA close date is 12/31/2022, HRA claims may be submitted for reimbursement until 6/30/2023 for those who have an HRA balance on the HRA close date.

** If you switch to option 3, you can continue to submit eligible HRA claims through June 30, 2022 for claims incurred prior to the end of 2021. Any unused credits after June 30, 2022 will be forfeited.
