What’s New & Changing for 2023
We’ve been on a multi-year journey to simplify and contemporize our GE Health Choice benefits, resources, and wellbeing programs, which is why we made some updates for 2023.
When you’re ready to enroll, click “Enroll Now” from the 2023 Annual Enrollment portal anytime from 10/10 – 10/28.

Group Legal at a Discounted Rate
The MetLife Legal Plan covers many common legal issues your family could face. During Annual Enrollment, you may enroll or disenroll in this program.
Medical Plan Decision Support: SmartSelect
SmartSelect will be available again this year to help you decide which medical option may be best suited to your personal situation and health care needs. This may be valuable given the changes described earlier; click here to use the SmartSelect tool.
Good News on Cost + Plan Updates
For the third year in a row, there will be no increases to medical plan contributions for full-time salaried employees.
- Option 1 will have lower contributions along with a reduced annual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum.
- Option 2 will have lower contributions, and as a qualified high-deductible plan, the option to open a Health Savings Account (HSA).
- All services, including prescription drugs, will be subject to the deductible, except preventive services.
- If you’re currently enrolled in Option 2 and do not take action during Annual Enrollment, you will remain in the new Option 2 for 2023. Click here for more details on Option 2 changes.
- Option 3 contributions will remain largely unchanged for the third year in a row. This option continues to offer an HSA.
- Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) will be discontinued for Options 1 and 2. If you have a credit balance in your HRA, December 31, 2022 is the last date to incur an eligible HRA expense. There are other savings accounts available; click here to learn more.
- Dental contributions will increase slightly.
- Vision contributions will remain unchanged.
- Over-the-counter hearing aids will only be covered with a prescription. (You may need to file a manual claim.)
- Working Person contribution amounts will not increase.
